HOW TO FIND SHOBNALL MARINA

Shobnall Marina officeEasy to get to... and easy to navigate from! Those are two more of Shobnall Marina's great plus-points.
We are located just a five minute walk from the centre of Britain's historic "Brewing Capital", Burton upon Trent, and just a few minutes drive from the fast A38 dual carriageway.
This motorway-grade trunk road connects the M1 and M6 corridors on the east and west. Further excellent connnections are provided by another motorway-grade highway, the A50.
Consequently, getting to us from any direction is very easy. See the map below for full details.
And the good news doesn't end there!
Once your boat is at Shobnall, you have huge choice over where to explore.
If you're tired of sitting on a "turn left or turn right" linear canal, you'll just love the choice of waterways we have on hand, within a weekend's cruise!
Turn left out of our entrance tunnel and you're on your way (via narrow locks) up the Trent & Mersey to Stoke, the Caldon Canal, the Macclesfield Canal, or (throught the Harecastle tunnel) to Manchester and the north.
But within a single day's cruise, you can turn off all that and get onto the Coventry Canal for Birmingham. Missing that turn, a further day will take you to the beautiful Tixall wide – and the Staffs & Worcester Canal, leading to the Shropshire Union and a maze of other waterways.
Turn right out of our tunnel and a couple of days (via both narrow and wide locks) will bring you to the "four-lane-ends" of the mighty River Trent itself, along with the Erewash Canal to the north and the Grand Union (River Soar) going south to London.
At Shobnall Marina, the choice is all yours!
